As a person and trainer iv experienced all type of struggles. I have been skinny and weak as well as fat and overweight but throughout my fitness journey keeping fit has been the hardest. Its a constant battle between body, mind and decision making. As a trainer, I can relate to you and the process it takes to get where you want to be. I began my learning career at Gwinnett College in Georgia in 2015 and have not stopped since. Throughout my career, I have worked with adults, teenagers, and children. Certified through NASM(National Academy of Sports Medicine) and PTA Global (Personal Training Academy) I started working with adults at a Youfit Health Clubs a chain of American Health Clubs. After deciding to move to Houston Texas I Specialized in Youth Exercise and started working with junior tennis athletes and children at The Goddard School. Being able to work with all different ages and groups, there is one thing that keeps us going, and that is instinctual optimism. That is why I make my pieces of training challenging yet fun for everyone.

Paperwork: You will be asked to fill out some paperwork. This generally includes basic medical information and includes questions regarding your general level of fitness, your average activity levels, and your medical history. It is important to answer these questions fully and honestly to ensure that I can design a workout program that is as safe as it is effective. Weight and Measurements: Weighing you and taking detailed measurements before we start working allows us both to track your progress. In general, you can expect the usual chest, waist and hip measurements to be taken, as well as your neck, biceps, forearms, thighs, and calves. I will also measure your body fat percentage, take your blood pressure, gauge your flexibility and do a simple test of your cardiac fitness. Fitness Goals: I will want to know what your fitness goals are so that I can design a program that will be most effective in helping you reach them. Think carefully before our first session about what you’d like to accomplish. Losing weight or gaining muscle are both understandable goals, but be more specific. Nutrition: I am not a licensed dietitian, however, we will have a discussion of nutrition so that you understand what your body needs as far as the number of calories to ensure that your body is well-nourished enough to adapt to your new workout. A healthy diet should include lean protein, whole grains, healthy fats, vegetables, and fruits. Even though I cant design a specific diet plan, I can offer advice on how to make healthier choices. Workout: Depending on time, we may or may not include a workout. If we do, you can expect to warm up by doing some aerobic activity to get your heart rate up, followed by a workout with free weights and at last some stretching. Be honest with me about what you can and can’t do, but part of my job is to push you a little harder than you’d probably push yourself. This will allow me to get a good idea not only of what you are capable of physically but what you can handle mentally and emotionally as well. Be open to trying new things, but be honest about any discomfort, especially if it involves pain, shortness of breath or an uncomfortable racing heart.
Abishek Anand: I am 15 years old and I work with Yulior once a week for an hour per session and ever since I started working with him I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my general fitness and tennis game. Before working with him I rarely ever went to the gym and wasn’t as strong as a competitive athlete should be. Yulior immediately noticed this and took me to the gym to teach me how to lift weights to develop explosive power in my tennis game. When we are not in the gym, we are on a tennis court doing numerous tennis specific exercises including, but not limited to: SAQ training (speed, agility, and quickness) using hurdles, ladders, and cones, animation training using a laptop or iPad in which a sequence of colors and symbols direct me in how to do an exercise, resistance band training, metronome training in which I have to complete an exercise while moving with the beat of a metronome to work on my rhythm, coordination, and timing, and finally, pool training. All of these different training techniques can be used in many different ways to yield results specific to your needs. Yulior is a very unique fitness instructor in that he shows a level of passion and dedication that is very rare. After coming back from vacation, I had a slump of two tournaments in a row where I was playing terrible. Yulior noticed this and immediately sat down with me and helped me get through the mental block I was in. And then, in the very next tournament, Yulior was there supporting me in every match leading to my eventual victory in the tournament. On top of that, Yulior texts me after every tournament asking how I played and forces me to focus on my improvement on a daily basis. Because of Yulior, I have been following a strict diet and exercise plan, and have been taking his recommended protein supplements to yield incredible results in my fitness. None of this would have been possible if I hadn’t been working with Yulior for the past year. If you are someone who is interested in their fitness level in any way, then I extremely recommend Yulior Sanchez to be your trainer due to his intensity and dedication to your goals. He will not rest until you have achieved your fitness goals!

My experience with Yulior has been fun and really helpful to my tennis game. His excercises are really challenging and that makes my session fun and effective. My game and the way I used to move and think has changed to the better with him. I worked with Yulior for almost 2 months now on court and gym and everything he does is organized perfectly and really effective in an hour. I would recommend Yulior to people who want to hit the ball with a correct manner if you play tennis. His approach was unique because I met him at my tennis club, and he saw that I had interest in becoming stronger mentally, physically and emotionally. So then he agreed to train me and I have improved big time with controlling my emotions on court.
Coach Yulior is a great fitness coach, he will push you and motivate you be better, stronger and healthier. He also makes the fitness fun while some other times you hate it but at the end of the fitness you feel accomplished and proud of yourself.
Yulior is a great coach, he cares about his clients and works hard to improve his skillset every day. He is very knowledgable and he can help you reach your goals! I would highly recommend working with him for strength and conditioning or sport performance for tennis.
