About Me

Hi, my name is Vanessa. I started my career as a personal trainer and yoga instructor while living in Seoul, South Korea. I worked with a wide array of athletes, from absolute beginner to competitors, to pre and post natal women, to those dealing with lifelong injuries, and to those that just needed a way to channel their daily troubles. I specialize in weight loss, strength and conditioning, HIIT training, flexibility, muscle building, injury prevention, long distance and OCR preparation and conditioning, yoga, functional fitness, core power, mind/body connection, stress relief, and healing/recovering through trauma with fitness.

Many of my past and current clients are searching for a way to work with and become friends with their bodies and to improve their quality of life. I myself fit into this category as well. Having struggled with eating disorders most my life to being a survivor of trauma, my body felt foreign to me and I was dissociated and disconnected. Fitness has helped me save my own life and it continues to be something I am passionate about and endlessly eager to explore.

What to Expect

Our sessions will explore a variety of modalities based on your goals, needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Being that I have a variety of backgrounds and specialties, they will all be incorporated specifically to you. Usually we will always begin with a warm up, focusing on where there is muscular or joint tightness and then we will move into basic power moves~ these will depend on what your key goals are. There will also be accessory exercises preformed so that we are making sure to keep you injury free and encourage general progress. You will get a workout and find that your life will improve in multiple ways!

Client Success Story

I have one fat loss client who has been obese most of her life, we started training together mid summer of 2018. We meet once to twice a week where we focus on strengthening and calorie burn. Together we have figured out a weekly plan for when we don't meet, found a food plan that works for her, and do regular check ups. This past Fall she took part in her very first OCR (obstace course race) where I brought together a few of my clients. She was so fearful of running but ran the whole things, took on every obstacle with confidence, and already plans to join me next year for another one. Since training together, she has gained over five pounds of muscle, has lost 15 pounds of fat, has perfected some powerful lifts, and she consistently making progress in her career, relationships, and most of all, she has built a friendship with her body.

She is truly making her health a priority and together we are making great gains!
