As a Doctor of Physical Therapy with years of personal training experience, I am trained not only in fixing injuries but also preventing them. I specialize in training people who are post-injury or post-surgery. I’ve worked with clients of all ages (6-98yrs) and physical conditions at Crunch Fitness, NYSC, in-home visits, and a variety of clinical settings including sports orthopedics. For the past 12 years, I have taken an interdisciplinary approach to my own training, as well as with my clients (gymnastics, calisthenics, bodybuilding, strongman, and triathlon). Empowering people through exercise is my passion.

What to Expect

A typical work out with me is: 1) A thorough warmup concentrating on full body mobility, 2) a focused strength training session depending on client’s goals, 3) a finisher that consists of conditioning exercises, 4) followed by a cool down with stretching. I make sure to challenge my clients in a progressive manner. Everyone works at their own level, but they also learn that they’re able to do things and push in ways that they never thought were possible for them. Good form is a huge part of my training philosophy, and I make sure that clients learn to perform exercises properly on their own.

Client Success Story

I’ve helped many people in different ways whether it was to get their first chin up, learn a handstand, start walking after a stroke, be able to stand up again after an injury, or managing anorexia and learning to exercise in a healthier manner. One client success story that comes to mind for me was actually remotely trained. He had a knee reconstruction surgery at a young age and was unable to fully flex his knee or go up a step. I safely progressed him with key exercises that eventually led to him be able to do things that he never thought would be possible again for him such as to run, jump, have full knee range of motion, and to squat substantial amounts of weight.

Vadim is the most educated trainer I’ve ever worked with. He was always ready each session with a plan to help me reach my goals which we set up together during the first meeting. He explains how to properly do each exercise focusing on form and technique while pushing/motivating me to increase weights/reps gradually (which was one of my goals.) He was so knowledgeable, I could tell he had a lot of experience in the fitness and training world. I worked with Vadim for a little over 3 months and in that short time I went from not being able to do a single push up to performing 10 in a row with good form and without assistance. Even on the days I did not have a session with him I was provided with a solid plan of workouts for accessory training to do on my own. The most important thing I learned from Vadim was how to incorporate nutrition to help me achieve my fitness goals as it was one of my biggest areas of struggle. I learned how to track my calories and the proper way to fuel my body and I honestly haven’t looked back since. I was able to lose 15lbs, improve overall strength and maintain the weight loss for over a year. I look and feel the best I have all my life and it’s all thanks to everything I learned from Vadim. Vadim is an excellent trainer and coach. He is extremely knowledgeable in strength and conditioning, for both athletes and non-athletes alike. He understands how the human body is designed to move and is patient and thoughtful in the way he coaches his clients, so you know that you are in good hands and are performing the exercises with the correct form (safely), no matter what level of physical shape you are in. More importantly, he is able to challenge you and make working out enjoyable, so that you are able to reach your fitness goals--whether it is weight loss, strength and conditioning, or body building. Vadim was a shining light for my life. I have always been insecure, self critical, and i didnt believe in myself, especially when it came to having a body i thought would make me like myself. During my jouney with him, i learned to love my body because of the way it worked with me, and because it showed me the results of my new found discipline and self-care. As my body became more slender and toned, my feelings about myself changed but not superficially. I became more confident because i was doing things for myself, everyday. I was cooking for myself, dedicating time for my workouts (he held me accountable even though it was a long distance traning) and he was uplifting in a genuine way that gave me hope and encouraged me to keep going. I’ve been working out pretty consistently for the past 10 years, through trial and error over those years I thought I had finally figured out what works best for me. Since quarantine first happened, I was one of the skeptics that did not believe in home workouts, body weight workouts, or anything outside of a regular commercial gym setting but with my options for a gym dwindling away, I turned to Vadim for help on structuring a workout routine without the pre set dumbbells that went up in increments of 5lbs and the seemingly endless cable assisted machines I was used to. Being 4 months into this quarantine, I can honestly say I’m in the best shape of my life, with the help of my good friend Vadim, I was able to do less in the gym, yield better results, and do more outside of the gym. Something I thought wasn’t possible just a few months earlier. Leading by example he completely changed the way of how I viewed “working out” and showed me more efficient exercises vs the traditional exercises everyone is used to.
