I am a certified personal trainer, certified Pilates teacher, dance fitness teacher, Schwinn certified spin instructor and co-owner of Balanced Bodies Fitness. I began teaching classes in 1986 developing a following that desired my classes with the funky blend of hip hop, jazz and Latin. My love for weight training began when I entered my thirties and realized how much it helped me get stronger so that I could keep dancing without injury. For nine years I was a teacher, choreographer and event performer for New York’s Equinox Fitness Clubs, and have choreographed/performed in numerous shows for charity events in NY and NJ. My high energy, enthusiasm and exciting routines draw dancers of all levels to my New York style classes.

First would be a fitness assessment and then it depends on their goals. If its weight loss then i usually prescribe interval training, if its getting stronger then it would be weight lifting utilizing either free weights, body weight machines or if available all three. Warm up and stretch is very important!
One of my clients that has really made a big change is a 66 year old business woman that came to me 15 years ago. She was diagnosed with osteopinia, was a recent breast cancer survivor and was 40 lb's overweight. She has improved her bone density and and lost 40lb's! She's vibrant and still working as hard as ever! She lunges, squats does deadlifts and push ups!
