Hello! Thank you so much for checking out my fitness profile. I am new to the training world but very excited for the opportunity to help people to become more active and reach their fitness goals. My background is in Sociology (BA from ASU) and Education (MA from Ashford University), as well as a recent acquisition of an AZ Teaching Certificate in Physical Education. I wanted to go a little less towards the route of trying to monitor 30 teenagers at once, though, and more to a personal experience of health and fitness! I absolutely love sports, both playing and watching, and would love to incorporate sports some into my training if my trainee so desired (such as one day a week or month doing a fun day of playing sports). I know from experience that being physically active can greatly help a person not only on a physical level but also mentally and emotionally as well, and if I could help someone get to that more active place, I would be so proud and honored. My training style will likely be more gentle than many trainers, with an emphasis on development, effort, and progress more so than perfect performance. If a more gentle and encouraging training style from a very positive and supportive trainer sounds like a good fit for you, I would be so excited to hear from you about possibly starting a trainer-trainee partnership!
American Counsil on Exercise
A client can expect a personalized training session that helps meet their needs and moves them towards their fitness goals, with my playing a very active role (demonstrating, monitoring, encouraging, and giving supportive and instructive feedback), even working alongside the trainee if it is helpful/desired.
I have yet to have a client success story to date as I am new at this, but I hope to have many in the future!
