Hello wonderful people! To say I have a passion for health and wellness would be the understatement of the century. Through the combination of physical activity and proper nutrition, I believe that our bodies are capable of anything. I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelors degree in fitness and nutrition. I created my own major because I wanted to be able to learn about both aspects of wellness. From there, I went on and got my first personal trainer certification through W.I.T.S. After that, I went on and got my second certification through IFA which certifies me in personal training and Aaerobics. I then worked at Anytime Fitness as a personal trainer for about a year until I accepted my first full-time position at Lifetime Fitness. There I earned an additional personal training certification through NETA as well as Lifetime On-boarding Academy. I also earned my Nutrition Certification through ISSN. I became a certified metabolic technician as well as a certified MyHealthscore Technician. MyHealthscore required us to take a blood sample from clients in which their cholesterol, blood glucose, etc were tested. These results were often given to employers for insurance purposes. I am currently working on my second nutrition certification which will allow me to expand my current knowledge so I am able to help my future clients.

What to Expect

Depending on the goal of the client, one can expect a routine that is continuously customized and molded to their overall mission. A typical session start to finish would be: warm-up, strength/conditioning, finisher. When I say finisher, I mean we finish off the workout with an exercise that will require maximum effort as a way to cap off our session together. It will never be something that you are not capable of doing, but it will be a challenge. You can expect to sweat and have your muscles feel the burn. I believe in the importance of educating my clients about the "why's" behind my methods. Why am I making you do this? Why am I requiring you to do this many sets and repetitions with this weight? I believe the more knowledge you have, the more successful you will be for the 23 hours I am not in your presence.

Client Success Story

Client name: Marie M. Marie came to me a little over a year ago with an abundance of health issues. She recently had a Gastric Bypass surgery. She knew if she did not start moving her body, that the surgery would eventually reverse itself. We sat down and went over her various health conditions and risks that I was to be aware of. With the approval of her doctor, we got started. We started off slowly with mostly body weight exercises and as the months went on, we worked our way up to weights that progressively got heavier. Marie has now lost over 110 lbs and 33.7% since training with me and recently RAN her first 5k. Something she has never been able to do her whole life. Marie's constant hard work, dedication to her health, and positive attitude led her to reaching these goals which she never dreamed possible. I only provided the education and guidance along the way.
