My name is Samantha, owner and personal trainer of FARINA FORTITUDEā¢! I've been coaching and training individuals for 10+ years now and my passion for it continues to grow as I do. I have experience in training a broad variety of clients, from high school athletes to 70year old seniors. I possess my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and am CPR certified. I train primarily out of parks, tracks and other recreational locations (fields, trails, etc.) as well as my garage gym which is fully equipped!
Upon connecting with a new client, we will have a free consultation via phone call to build the foundation of WHAT your goals are, HOW we will get there and WHEN we can get started. Once we solidify what program is best and decide to move forward, I can email you my Agreement Form and book the corresponding sessions! Our first session will be a full body assessment so I can understand your movement mechanics, mechanical imbalances, state/level of fitness and any specific concerns I need to be aware of. I'll take note of all these specific needs and we will move forward from there! We will start with a dynamic warmup which will take around 10 minutes. Then we will get into the workout! Each session will be progressive from the next and we can continue to move forward from there.
I've been training this young woman with the goal of enhancing her mile time and improving her overall running mechanics for about 3 months now. Her mile time has decreased from 9:45 to 8:25! At her best mileage, she was at 10 miles for her distance run. Before starting with me, she was at 2-3 miles typically. I am super proud of her progress!
