Hi, my name is Ryan. I am a personal trainer based out of Newton, Massachusetts. I have always had a passion for fitness which started when I was a young boy diagnosed with a disease called ADEM (Acute disseminated encephalomyeliti), which is a rare autoimmune disease marked by a sudden, widespread attack of inflammation in the brain and spinal cord. The disease paralyzed the right side of my body, I couldn't walk, talk or eat without assistance. I had to relearn everything that was once an easy task for me. I worked day and night for over a year to regain my strength, both mentally and physically. Once that was complete I told myself that I would never allow myself to become that weak again and I started my path to fitness excellence. My fitness career started five years ago, when I was a lifeguard I had the opportunity to start teaching swimming lessons to children and from there teaching water aerobics to seniors looking to stay active. That opportunity allowed me to see the fitness world in a whole new light. I began to develop a real connection with all of my clients and that's when I knew I was in a field that suited me very well. From there I took a job working for Boston Sports club which has allowed me to pass on my knowledge of fitness to all who were willing to take the next steps in order to achieve their fitness goals. I have worked with clients of all age groups, fitness levels and all fitness goals. The most rewarding part about being a trainer is seeing the look on my clients' faces when they accomplish something that they never knew was possible.
1 hour full body workout, keeping the heart rate up at all times
"Ryan is a joy to train with. He is constantly encouraging but also keeps me positive. When I came to him I had a significant amount of weight to loose and I am already on the right track - 20lbs down. I have worked with other trainers in the past but Ryan is by far the best. Ryan is flexible about meeting times and mixes us our workouts to make sure I am getting a full body training experience. I would highly recommend Ryan and am grateful to have him as my trainer!" - Franklin "Ryan is excellent. He has a great demeanor and makes his expertise very accessible in each session. I’ve been very happy with him and I’m looking forward to continuing to train with him." - Jane "My first workout with Ryan was both challenging and rewarding; I'm looking forward for more! He made great use of the limited equipment available at the exercise room of our building." -Kirsi-Marja Ryan keeps me motivated and focused on my fitness goals. He's good about correcting my form and helping me get the most out of every workout. Couldn't ask for a better trainer! -Jon
