Hi everyone! My name is Ruby and I live in Atlanta, Ga. I have been a life-long athlete: 14 years of soccer, 4 years of college rugby, 3 years of Brazilian Jujitsu, and 5 years of volleyball. I also started lifting weights when I was in high school as a way to find strength and empowerment and was a member of the power lifting team. In high school, I started working at a local gym and earned my first NASM certification. During my 4 years at Georgia Tech, I was a competitive bodybuilder and taught a crossfit class every week, even competing occasionally in crossfit. During these last 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer, I had to be creative with my fitness regimens. I learned how to use resistance training and body workouts to stay fit. I brought volleyball and yoga classes to my community and even taught a year long boxing program. I also have 2 years of experience teaching senior citizen exercise classes. I also love MMA and plan to compete in the future.

Well, it depends on the client! Our first meeting will be a consultation to discuss goals, scheduling, ability, etc. The first session could vary drastically between HIIT/circuits, body weight, or a full on weight training (plan for 1 hour with some conversation before/after). It absolutely depends on the client and sometimes it can take a couple of exploratory sessions before finding what suits someone. My sessions will be about you and what you enjoy!
At Georgia Tech, I worked as a personal trainer for the campus gym and recreation center. One of my clients was a blind man who always came in with his service dog. This man was overweight, pre-diabetic and had limited experience in the gym. Together, over a period of 6 months, he lost 45 pounds in a way that was sustainable - foods he liked, activities he enjoyed. I have had many amazing success stories, especially with young women I have helped to build strength and confidence in (even my own friends and family!). I am a major proponent of women with muscle!

Ruby is the best. My situation is complex and Ruby has taken the time to understand and customize my workout. She is very talented and has a wide range of options to help with general cardio and strength conditioning. I see improvements already!!
