Hi, my name is Ron. Whether you want to get off the couch for your first trail run, build physical confidence, gain muscle and tone, run an obstacle course race, or finish a backwoods ultra-marathon, I can help you to achieve your fitness goals with my adaptable Trail Train Programs. I have completed numerous road and trail marathons and ultra-marathons (including the 30 hour Frozen Yeti), obstacle course races (including the Killington Spartan Ultra in 2017 and 2018 - 38th place out of over 1,100 racers) and spent weeks at a time in the backwoods leading Outward Bound expeditions so I know how to train for enjoyment and endurance. I have also been a public school teacher and a youth sports coach (soccer and sailing) for years so I understand how to encourage people to stick to goals, safely challenge themselves, and persevere. Tail Training will be adjusted according to each individual's goals, but can include trail running, hiking and hill-work for cardio, body weight exercises for tone and strength, and weighted carries as appropriate. Stretching, flexibility, nutrition and recovery can all be addressed. We'll train outside as much as possible to help develop confidence. You set the goal, we determine your fitness level, and together we'll implement a plan. Let's get outside, get in better shape and have fun.
