About Me

Rachel, I am a very positive, motivational and energetic person. I love to put a smile on other peoples faces in chance of making their day slightly better. I am willing to learn and try new things I am very interested in physical fitness and helping others with reaching and maintaining their fitness and diet goals. I am looking for a position that would allow me to use the knowledge I have obtained through school, as well as use the talents and skills I have obtained through previous work and school experience. I have been a cheerleader since I was 8 years old and have always been athletic and active. This is what sparked my interest in becoming an exercise science major which I earned my Bachelors in 2015. I was also a college cheerleader and would love to continue my active lifestyle by helping others achieve their goals.

What to Expect

A typical training session with me consists of a cardio warm up from 10-20 mins. Depending on their goals I instruct weight training, endurance, HIIT exercises, body weight, toning or weight loss exercises. I do not use a lot of machines, some, but the whole workout is based on using your body and free weights to not only reach your goals but increase balance and stability. I make sure my clients cool down and stretch as well after every workout. I will push you and motivate you, but not to the limit of exhaustion and injury.

Client Success Story

Before graduation we were required to become a health coach for someone as a project for my obesity and weight management class. We were required to evaluate the client every week and turn in SOAP notes every Sunday. I taught my client how to meal prep with plans I created for her and trained her for 45 min to an hour for 4x a week. My client improved 25% in 4 weeks. she was hypertensive and now has a blood pressure of 128/70. she lost 4 inches off her waist and 10 overall.

Rachel is the best! She sets realistic goals and constantly pushes so hard to keep progressing without being overbearing. Rachel is good at holding clients accountable and making sure they know they aren't alone in their fitness plan. She is always available for a peptalk or advice, and is open to all requests and concerns. Becoming healthier is clearly her goal for each client and she adheres to each individual's need. My workouts with Rachel were 1 hour in length. I am a former athlete and she structured my workouts around what I was comfortable with and what was fun for me. We began with a dynamic warm up and ran different drills where she set up cones and different obstacles. I enjoyed the sessions because they were based on what I was comfortable with but also involved new exercises every session.

Rachel is always helpful during workout and cool down. She always has a backup option if a person is unable to perform the asked exercise. She isn't the type of trainer that will just tell you the exercise to perform she will be right there with you doing the workout. Over all she is a really good trainer!
