Hi, my name is Rachel. I found fitness through sports. That’s only a fraction of what has driven me to find a love and passion for health and fitness. Although an athlete, I’ve had to overcome many challenges throughout my fitness and health journey. I’ve struggled with poor self esteem, body image issues, alcohol abuse, and negative mental/emotional health. I’ll spare you the details for another day. For most of my life I was always driven to fitness for aesthetics, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but making it my ONLY focus is where I went wrong. I appeared healthy/fit from the OUTSIDE but INSIDE I was still struggling. For years I was ignoring ALL the other aspects of health (mental, emotional, spiritual, social, etc.). Starting to work in the fitness industry is what actually shifted my entire mindset in regards to health. Early into my career it dawned on me. Great workouts weren’t enough to achieve the happy and healthy lifestyle my clients (and myself) were dreaming of. To give people the lifestyle they desire, ALL ASPECTS are vital in achieving that. There’s nothing I despise more than a hypocrite, so I had to practice what I preach.

Upon meeting we'll schedule a consultation to go over exercise history, goals, and answer any questions you may have. A movement assessment will be conducted to assess postural alignment, imbalances, and overall movement patterns. The training sessions will be customized to address your specific needs, wants, and challenges.
I started working with Rachel when I was 5 months pregnant. I wanted to train with someone to keep me moving and healthy throughout the remainder of my pregnancy. I had watched Rachel working at the gym while she was pregnant the year prior, and admired how healthy and mobile she remained the entire time. So, I knew I wanted to train with her, and knew she would understand the changes my body was going through from day to day and week to week. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable in prescribing the right combination of exercises for each phase of my pregnancy, and modifying them as my belly grew and my mobility decreased. She also did a fantastic job of working with my preexisting ailments- giving me exercises to help me regain functionality (instead of just avoiding the issues), and constantly watching and correcting my form and technique (something that I very much appreciated). Rachel is warm and friendly, encouraging and motivating, and knows what she's doing! As a fitness professional, myself, there are very few trainers I would want to train me; Rachel is one of them.
