My name is Persephanie and personal training to me is not just a job its my passion! I love helping and inspiring people to not only reach their personal fitness goals but to help each individual live a happier and healthier lifestyle. I have trained a wide range of ages from 5-years-old all the way up to 50-year-old's which includes a number of Division II collegiate athletes and 2A to 4A high school athletes. I am also currently a head track & field/cross country coach for a high school in Durham.
A typical training session will include the following: - General Warm-Up (5-10mins, a mixture of cardio and dynamic drills) - Specific Warm-Up (A warm-up geared to the specific muscles we will be utilizing) - Cardio/Plyometric Workout (workout is tailored per client) - Cool Down (5 mins) - Core- Workout - Static Stretching
My greatest success story was training/coaching collegiate athletes in track & field to gold medal finishes at their conference championship meet back in 2015. That alone inspired me to take my experience and tailor it towards our youth/ our future. Ever since the transition from collegiate to high school training/coaching not only did I create growth within a program that had little numbers but also increased the success rate by bringing out the talent in a number of athletes with different fitness levels.
