Hi, my name is Nickolas. A little bit about me, I started in the fitness industry when I was 17-years-old. For a couple of years, I worked for a few of the top institutions, and in 2011, I founded Creative Fitness NYC with the concept of introducing fun challenges and creativity to my clients' conditioning. More importantly, it makes no difference if you are a super athlete or someone afraid of the word exercise. Not only will you not get bored working with me, but you will also look forward to your next session. I have been in this field for so long and have seen many workout sessions where others perform exercises that are entirely contradictory to their needs. Only because that is what the trainer was able to think of at the moment.

What to Expect

A typical training session will consist of instructions, fun, mentally, and physically challenging exercises. No matter the clients' level of expertise, the program will be designed with their goals in mind. My philosophy is straightforward. I create fun and challenging programs to further the conditioning process of my clients while staying on message about their specific needs.

Client Success Story

The shortest amount of time I have trained anyone is 6 years.

In college I was an All American and national competitor in cross country and track and field. I had some serious injuries during the later half of my collegiate career that have since prevented me from training and competing at a high level.

Post-collegiately, my fitness goals have centered around building functional strength and athleticism. Nick shares this mentality in his approach as a physical trainer, and in working with him I have not only improved my strength but also my ability to utilize this strength in performing complex, athletic tasks.

Nick uses and is knowledgeable about a wide range of exercises, and he knows how to best implement exercise equipment for a fitness goal. When working with him he is readily able to adjust an exercise to increase or decrease the difficulty, and he does so in ways that test your proprioception and identify the limits of your strength and balance. From working with you he gains an understanding of your individual weaknesses and how to design an exercise plan addressing these needs.

There are exercises and fitness goals I have been unable to pursue on my own, but when working with him he is attentive and I feel safe and comfortable attempting challenging exercises knowing I will not get injured. He uses a variety of cues to help you achieve proper form, and he uses video (with your permission) to give you visual feedback of how your performing an exercise.

Since working with him I have been able to more aggressively pursue my running goals, I feel much stronger and healthier, and the ceiling for my potential athletic performance feels much higher than before. He is a great trainer who I highly recommend.

tldr; My strength and athleticism have improved immensely from working with Nick, and he is a highly qualified trainer who will help you achieve your fitness goal.

I trained with Nick for about 15 years until I moved to LA. Usually it was 3 times a week for an hour of mostly weight training, balance and agility. I never had a trainer who even came close to him in terms of knowledge and skills. He was quick to learn my strengths and weaknesses and always looked to improve me in areas where I needed it without pushing too hard. He came to the gym in our building, which of course was very convenient for me, as I was retired for the whole time we worked together. In addition to having great abilities Nick was always pleasant and personable even when things in his personal life might not have been going well.

I loved working out with Nick. He was great at creating unique and creative workouts, and identifying where I needed additional support. I also appreciated that he created workouts that I could do anywhere not just at the gym. Highly recommend!
