Hi, my name is Nicholas. I am a newcomer to the fitness world, but the idea has been instilled in me for two decades. I love playing sports, especially basketball, soccer, and sprinting. I have been an on-and-off gym go'er for the past five years. Within the last year I have become more serious about the activity, and more importantly about the profession. Calisthenics played a huge role in peaking my interest into personal training. It provided another option aside from typical weightlifting in which I could learn and exert, as well as a new way to strengthen dancing maneuvers, a small hobby of mine. It also provided low impact exercises for my bad knees. I've had ACL surgery on my right and a few sprains on my left. Calisthenics paved a way toward studying to be a personal trainer. I am currently certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. It gave a great foundation to personal training and introduced me to the importance of myo-fascial release (MFR), or foam rolling. I also learned the importance of correct form during exercises as well as creating a stable body before moving towards strength and power.
