Nate craved training he couldn’t find in a traditional gym after competing in throwing events for his college track and field club. Nate quickly recognized the skill of the master coaches on staff at San Francisco CrossFit such as Dr. Kelly Starrett, Carl Paoli and Diane Fu. His passion for teaching led him to learn from these luminaries by completing SFCF's coaching internship. He then moved to Austin, Texas, to share his knowledge and hone his craft in the city's growing fitness scene.
Clients can expect to be taught a formal strength and conditioning movement practice that includes elements of gymnastics, weightlifting and running/rowing. I can program for all ages and levels of movement ability as well as history of injuries.
Kyle, a young professional, sought personal training with me after regularly attending my group classes. His goal was to have a healthy, athletic physique. He trained with me two days a week for several weeks. Through logical training progressions we increased his strength and overall athleticism, which gave him more confidence at work and home. We also discussed simple, easy strategies to promote sleep and healthy eating. Because he could see the results of his efforts, he felt more empowered to create consistent habits that have raised his overall quality of life.
