I specialize in movement, functional strength, and mobility. I am certified in functional range conditioning, kettlebells, and formerly the National Assoc. of Speed and Explosion. I competed in track and field in college and graduated from UCDavis in 2003 with a degree in history. In 2017, I co-founded a Fitness & Wellness festival in San Francisco (City Fit Fest), and now live in the Ocean Park area of Santa Monica. In the past several years I've traveled around the world training for movement and mobility, including in Australia, Japan, and Indonesia.
Focus on healthy movement and strength. Warm-up for greater range motion and injury prevention. The focus of the work will depend on the clients goals and also their current level of fitness and health. The first things I would look at with new clients is their current mobility in the hips, shoulders, ankles, the health of the knees and back. As well as beginning to improve their overall full-body core strength. Workout could include bodyweight exercises, kettlebells, resistance bands, primal movement, mobility, balance challenges, and more. I also specialize in strength and form drills for runners and dynamic movement for athletes.
Within the first session, I will improve your understanding of movement and begin to expand your potential for greater mobility, improved health, and strength. The goal with everyone is human optimization. Become your best self, health is wealth.
