About Me

Aloha, I am a personal trainer and sports conditioning specialist on the Big Island. Sports and exercise have always been my passion. I've been an athlete my entire life and continue to compete in Ironman triathlons as well as marathons today. I finally got out of my own way and became an official trainer 4 years ago.

My philosophy is the better you feel, the better your life will be. It does not matter what size you are. Weight is only a number and I always advise clients to look at the real numbers, blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol levels, blood sugar,etc. These are truer indicators of health.
I truly enjoy be along side people as they strive for and reach their goals.

I recently picked up a client who had been working with a different trainer for years. She is an older client with chronic knee and shoulder pain. Within one month of training with me, she had finally lost weight, toned her muscles, gained strength, and was pain free in both her knee and her shoulder. We accomplished by stopping the "push through the pain" mentality. We trained all the muscles surrounding her knee and shoulder with out putting stress on those joints. I also kept her moving for the entire session. All of her "rests" were active rests. She was so happy. She was a pure joy to work with. Always willing to try new things, enthusiastic, and ready to work at each session.
