Hi! my name is Miranda Rodriguez. As a recent graduate from The Ohio State University with a degree in human nutrition and a personal training certificate through ISSA - I have focused all my energy on building my company, Made for More strength + nutrition and helping others. I struggled with my weight and self confidence throughout high school and during my freshman year of college I decided to make a big change. I adopted healthy eating habits and a love for the gym. I enjoy sharing my experience with you guys more than you know! I just hope to motivate and inspire people to love their bodies and live their lives free of insecurities!

Client Success Story

As I began to write this testimony, instinctively I thought to start with what my weight was before I met Miranda; my body fat percentage and the numbers reflected on the plethora of screens I used to measure my self-worth. It doesn’t seem right, to chalk up the hard work, late nights, and energy that both Miranda and I have put into this program to a mere set of numbers though. I had reached out to Miranda at the beginning of May 2017 to help me understand my body and how to incorporate appropriate exercises and foods into my weekly routine at a healthy rate, without overdoing it. As a local fitness entrepreneur and celebrity living in the same city where I currently reside, not to mention a fellow OSU buckeye, I felt positive about starting a relationship with her as a fitness coach. After walking through several different options we decided that a sixteen week (three phased) meal and exercise plan was best for what I wanted to achieve- lean muscle mass. This was not the first time I participated in a sixteen week cut. I had prior experience with taking direction from a fitness trainer, but this experience was completely different. Miranda took the time to calculate my macros, explain supplements, demonstrate lifts, and so much more. She exuded patience with me when I asked nutritional questions that some may think are “common sense”. Even after sending a multitude of aggressive and disappointed texts about the late night binges I struggled with, she provided nothing but optimistic interpretation of my actions, encouragement, and inspiration to move up and onward; leaving the past to rest. I am now fourteen weeks into the sixteen week plan and have never felt better in my life. You hear people say these things on TV, in movies, but hear me now, I’m living it! Just four weeks in and I had hit every goal I had originally set for myself to reach by THE END of the sixteen weeks. With that being said, every day was not and is not a walk in the park. Actually, most days are more like a sprint up the side of Mount Everest. I still struggle with sugar cravings. There are days that I don’t hit my macros, drink my gallon of water, mornings I don’t get my cardio in. But that’s okay, because we’re human. We are not made to be robots, and Miranda hasn’t built me into one- wouldn’t it be cool if she did ☺ What she did (and continues to) build though, is a resilient woman who has confidence in her physique, curves and all! Miranda would say, “Eat. Enjoy. But above all, be mindful.” The mind and body are not separate from one another. What affects one, affects the other. Living mindfully throughout this fitness journey has allowed me to focus on the big picture, which in turn led to ultimate success. Ultimate success not measured objectively by physical numbers, percentages and progress pictures, but by psychological and emotional health goals met and retained as well. By being able to look in the mirror and being proud of the person looking back at you, feeling the confidence built through dedication and commitment. Don’t continue to be a slave to the only body you’ll ever have. Liberate yourself. Allow Miranda to lead in this journey with you. You won’t regret it.
