Every training session begins with a thorough warm-up with 5 min of elliptical, bike, jump rope, then 5 minutes of dynamic stretching with movements geared towards flexibility imbalances identified in the initial assessment.
I recently worked with an individual who was a basketball athlete who was looking to improve their vertical jump. In the first session (Assessment), it was identified that he was not effectively using his most powerful muscles when jumping. In the next two sessions, after teaching him to effectively activate and utilize this area, he dunked a ball for the first time in competition.
