Hi, my name is Melissa! I graduated from Florida State University in May 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science with three minors in biology, chemistry and psychology. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) since graduating. I have continued to love learning about the power of movement and enjoy teaching others about the benefits of exercise. I look forward to any future clients that I work with, and helping them implement exercise into their lives so that they can feel stronger and more confident about their fitness levels. If you are new to the fitness world, I promise to create a welcoming and anxiety-free environment for you!

What to Expect

When I start training someone, I make sure we consider all aspects of their life. How busy are you on a day-to-day basis? Are you nervous about a certain part of a training routine? I get to know you as a person, so that we can create realistic and achievable goals. I will never set you up for failure. Based on your goals, I will create a workout completely tailored to you. I like to implement fun, high-energy workouts with free-weights, body weight, resistance bands, etc. as well as incorporating important flexibility routines. I will always listen to your concerns - If a certain routine isn't working for you, we'll try something else!

Client Success Story

During my sophomore year of college, I was only familiar with running, soccer and a few basic workout routines. I was completely intimidated to step foot into a gym, especially the weight-lifting section, so I sought out a personal trainer. He taught me so many skills within the gym and provided me with the knowledge and confidence I needed to navigate the gym. I was then inspired to become a certified personal trainer. When I train my friends in the gym, I love seeing how empowered they became just by being educated on what to do with weights and machines. A lot of my female friends were intimidated by areas in the gym beyond the cardio section, and I remember how I used to be intimidated by it too before I was educated by a personal trainer. When my friends became stronger and felt better about themselves, that made me feel very accomplished and proud of them.
