About Me

Hello, and thank you for your interest in my services! I am a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist serving clients in Brentwood, Clayton, and St. Louis, MO.

I am also a certified medical exercise specialist and a health coach all certified by ACE – the American Council on Exercise. My expertise includes training as a Clinical Exercise Specialist, Certified Medical Exercise Specialist and The BioMechanical Corrective Exercise Specialist. I am also an Elite Personal Trainer with IDEA The Health and Fitness Association.

As a Clinical Exercise and Certified Medical Exercise Specialist, I can train clients with health challenges such as heart disease, diabetes and musculoskeletal injuries just to name a few. I also am a certified trainer in the TBMM-CES method of training - TBMM is the Biomechanics Method of training - a systematic process of postural assessment and corrective exercise used by health and fitness professionals in over 25 countries to help people alleviate chronic pain.

With over 25 years experience, I specialize in weight management, strength and core conditioning and balance and functional training.

I believe having a trainer is a team effort -- I provide the tools to use and you provide the effort.

What to Expect

The first session with me will be an assessment to get a baseline. This will include girth measurements and a body fat test (if you want), a cardiovascular test, strength test, flexibility test and a postural assessment. With these markers in place and with your goals in place, I then create a personalized exercise plan for you.

As a personal trainer Maurie is knowledgeable on how specific exercises will sculpt and affect different groups of muscles on the body. She starts with an individual's personal assessment and finds out the clients goals. She then sets up a specific program to help meet those goals!
Maurie starts with warm ups before each session. Each session is a specific group of exercises which she changes up to work different sets of muscles. She assesses the client's strength, then is able to tell when they are able to increase the amount of weights.
She was also open to changing it on short notice if needed due to the client's needs.
After Maurie's sessions I would definitely feel like I was gaining in strength and endurance. As a nurse I could notice the difference when I worked.
She's not only a great resource but she was a lot of fun to be around, she had a fun sense of humor and we shared a lot of laughs together.
This was my first time with a personal trainer. I would definitely recommend her, she made me feel comfortable and helped me meet my goals.
