Hi, my name is Mark. My lifestyle has been active since a young age from playing various sports to the outdoors and my journey through Eagle Scout. I became very disciplined in fitness during my four college years where I balanced a full time student status/full time employment and earned a 1st degree blackbelt in Kuk Sul Won within my final three years of school. In addition to martial arts I still increased my strength and conditioning training on my own time as I worked towards my own goals. I've personally learned about rehabbing injuries as I suffered a few of my own in military training. Currently I am a boot camp trainer in the Houston, TX area but am available for personal 1-on-1 clients at either parks, my apt complex gym or the client's residence/gym.
A calm but intensely focused and personalized attention to detail. Ensuring the correct/proper form/technique is learned before increasing resistance to minimize risk of injury and balance short and long term fitness/health goals. Understanding the "what and why" behind the chosen exercises/methods instead of just being told to do a particular exercise. Increasing the clients fitness/health knowledge so they can continually improve throughout their lives.
My lovely fiancee had a moderately active lifestyle background but had never really been interested in resistance training. She started training with me in April 2015 until June 2015 when I left for military training. First we addressed strength imbalances/past injuries to prepare her body. Then we focused on proper form/technique for all traditional lifts (squats, deadlifts, cleans, presses). Once this was established we steadily increased the intensity/workload which resulted in nearly 50% strength increases across all lifts within this short time frame in addition to dropping a full size in clothes.
