Air Force veteran. I spent 8 years in the Air Force from 2006 to 2014. I've always been involved in sports. Growing up in Texas football was priority, but after moving to North Carolina I fell in love with track. I ran as a sprinter in indoor and outdoor events while playing football in the off season. I started with personal training in 2010. That year I became responsible for the Fire Department physical fitness program. Under my management we, collectively, went from a 70% pass rate to 95%. This inspired me to obtain my personal training certificate the following year and have been at it ever since. I've actively been competing in power lifting and Olympic weightlifting competitions since 2009 but do enjoy cardio based events as well. My goal is to bring the best out of the client. This goes during training sessions and time apart. I am a reliable mentor and will give my all in order for a client to accomplish their goals. This can be weight loss, improved range of motion, weight gain, strength gains, or becoming a competitive lifter.

Expect there to be a purpose to the training. Everything is done in order to bring the client closer to obtaining their goal. Timeless is key to progression. A plan given to the client and is instructed to do will require a certain amount of work followed by rest. This system of control ensures that the goals for that day are met, scheduling is easy, and the client does not get distracted. I will motivate. I will be extremely positive. If a movement is done incorrectly I will correct it on the spot if it is a safety hazard or during the rest period if not. I will never ask a client to help stage, pick anything up, or anything relating to my duties. The goal is to focus on the client. Me picking up the equipment and being their for you is my job. One that I love doing. Workout locations: Private gym, home, park, beach, etc.
I'm a firm believer in privacy of all clients. SO I will not dive in too much. Saying a client lost weight is too easy. Personal training can be 80% physical training and 20% guidance for some clients and others 60% physical training and 40% guidance. The client I saw the largest change with is a female, late 20's, who lost 30 lbs. She is very short, has a number of medical issues, works in a field that has her busy, but provides great benefits. The success is not the weight loss. She struggled with drinking, depression, self doubt, and an extremely unstable personal life. In the course of 12 months she no longer depends on alcohol. Her mobility due to medical issues has improved greatly. She is stronger AND down 30 lbs. Her eating habits have greatly improved along with depression becoming minimal. Her personal life has improved greatly. This woman decided, on her own, to stop taking anti-depressants. Which proved to be huge in her losing weight. She is my success story because not only did her physical health improve. So did her mental health. As a person she is in a much better spot than a year ago. It took tons of work. We were frustrated with each other at times. That's a part of the process though. The idea is to stick with it. When she didn't see the light, I did, and guided her to it when needed. So proud of her. She is an awesome person.
