About Me

Philosophy is "improving lives through exercise." Luke's solid education formed the foundation of his success. As a college football athlete, he was motivated to graduate with a B.S. in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University and then continued his education with a M.S. in Exercise Science and Strength and Conditioning from East Stroudsburg University.

He published his masters thesis - Gait Training in the Elderly - to educate health practitioners on how to work with the elderly to effectively improve balance and strength and correct walking technique to prevent falls.

Luke started his career in the fitness industry as a floor instructor at the Main Line YMCA, moving on to working at health clubs where he worked his way through positions such as a fitness instructor, personal trainer and fitness director. He has hired and trained instructors, also promoted popular weight management programs/seminars and expanded membership sales in the facilities where he has worked.

Having successfully run multiple commercial gyms, fitness facilities and rehabilitation practices, he is accomplished in exceeding sales, facilities set-up and operations management, finance and customer satisfaction targets. Working as a fitness professional since 2000, his goal is to help people safely meet and exceed their fitness goals. Luke understands health and fitness are not always easy, but by being proactive about your diet and getting proper exercise, you can live a longer, have a healthier life……and Luke Connell is just the person you can trust to guide you through it.

What to Expect

Mobility Assessment, Discussion of goals and lifestyle. History of injuries, surgeries, guidance and one-on-one personal training at our gym in Berwyn, PA or in-home if you prefer. I've worked with all ages, all lifestyles, pregnant women, post natal moms, business executives, athletes, and even some celebrities. I have my CSCS certification, which is only given with a minimum Bachelors Degree. I have Bachelors and Masters, as well as continued yearly education.

My life's work is about fitness and wellness focused on clients of all ages and life stages. Little did I know that an interest in fitness, starting in my early teens, would lead me to become a personal trainer, an athlete in college and to complete my B.S. in Exercise Science and M.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from East Stroudsburg University.

As a fitness expert and personal trainer, I've had the privilege of training various types of clients: professional and performance athletes and celebrities - executives - surgeons - busy parents - students and kids - seniors - fitness-focused adults - those with illness and injuries pre-surgery and post-operative .

What all my clients want, is to improve their health and fitness levels so they can lead their best lives. My passion is to educate, inspire, and support them in making this happen, no matter where they are on their health and fitness journey.

I strive to create an exceptional client care experience with the right conditions and environment for my clients to succeed. As a former Director managing fitness facilities, I ensure we have the proper equipment and that it's set up correctly to maximize space and client safety.

Greatest success story is a client who had ACL surgery TWICE. First time, he had no pre-surgical training and only went to physical therapy after the surgery. The second time, this busy CEO tore his ACL, he was referred to me by his surgeon. I discussed his injury with the surgeon and then met with the client. We did pre-surgical personal training to prepare surrounding muscles and then post-surgical training. His recovery was phenomenal. He was walking much faster and is so happy with the things he can do that he was not able to do after his first surgery. Pain was lower and recovery was faster. He is ecstatic.
