Hi, my name is Lisabeth. I have been a coach in the health and fitness industry for 9 years. After completing my bachelors of science in Kinesiology, I began personal training. Through working with many people of various backgrounds, I began specializing in training people with unique and special circumstances. A few of these have included weight loss, chronic pain, recurring injuries, and many other circumstances through balancing fitness training with functional mobility. It is my goal to ensure that no person ever feel limited by their bodies, but empowered and confident. Personally, my background includes coaching cheerleading, basketball, strength and flexibility classes, aerobic classes, family group training, personal training, high intensity interval training, suspension training, body weight training, and rehabilitative exercise. I have been an athlete my whole life, battled my own chronic conditions, discovered how rewarding movement can be and deeply have a passion for helping others do the same.

What to Expect

A typical training session begins with an active warmup. The details of the warmup are dependent upon the client's specific goals but are always movement based and begin the fun! The strength and conditioning section is next, and special care is taken to ensure a total body workout is completed in the most effective format for the client. Ideally, the strength and conditioning section would consist of 30 minutes of movement with a few quick breaks. The last section of the session is an active cool down where we focus on stretching and lengthening the muscle groups used in the day's session. 3 sections of movement, each one specifically designed to meet the needs and goals of the client. It is important to keep the entire session a positive, fun environment!

Client Success Story

One of my clients, Jen, came to me after already embarking on her own weight loss journey. She was discouraged, felt she had plateaued, and did not find exercise fun. She was at her heaviest and was frustrated with herself. Together, we began our year of training. Over the course of the year, we trained together once a week, and Jen trained on her own 2 other times a week. We kept the workouts fun, different, exciting, we focused on injury prevention and nutrition. Exactly one year later she had lost over 100 pounds and she set a new goal for herself: completing her first 5K! I guided her through training for her first 5K, and Jen has now kept the weight off for another year, completed her first half marathon, and has learned how to maintain her own healthy lifestyle. A challenge was time management and balancing her schedule as a busy full time working mom. She brought her daughter to some of her workouts, and her daughter is also now very active. I am so proud of Jen and all the hard work she has done! She inspires me everyday to try my best.
