Hi, my name is Laura. I am a certified personal trainer with over 15 years of experience educating people about their bodies and guiding them to their fitness goals . I have developed a system that incorporates personality typing, movement screening and nervous system assessing to hyper-personalize your training experience and set you up for success. I am currently working toward my certification to be a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), which will allow me to help clients process trauma of all kinds (from injuries to surgeries to event-related) through movement. I obtained my BA in philosophy and BS in communication from Boston University. Prior to realizing my true calling as a trainer, I was a marketing analyst. I started lifting when I was 12. My Dad would write me programs, and we’d go through them together. I began training clients at age 16 as a wellness coach at my hometown Y. I was the youngest employee on staff.
American Counsil on Exercise
Each training session is unique; we never implement the same program twice. You will use a variety of modalities, from bands to dumbbells to sandbags. Movements are dynamic and innovative. I often create exercises specific to each client. Beyond the training session, I can be as involved in your journey as you would like. I offer support via text outside of sessions, and write workout programs for clients to perform when they aren’t training with me.
