About Me

Hi, my name is Larry. For seventeen years I taught high school English, speech, drama, forensics and debate. I was voted teacher of the year twice, I was a department chair, and I touched countless lives. Eventually, however, I returned to my true passion: health and fitness. I have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/Corporate Fitness and am working to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (of which I am a member).
I have competed in two physique competitions in which I had a favorable placing. Through both my education and my personal experience I developed a deep understanding and can apply the principles of nutrition, muscular development, cardiovascular conditioning, facility design, and program design and implementation. In addition, I have knowledge of professional sales, marketing, advertising, accounting, and business law.

As a former educator, I possess many additional skills that can be useful. I am highly skilled at public speaking and personal communication. I know how to captivate and hold an audience. I am a highly effective manager, organizer, and problem solver. I am accustomed to stressful situations that require poise and control. I possess an acute sense of my surroundings and the people that inhabit a given space. I write well, multitask well, adapt to changes, and I solve problems with diplomacy and efficiency.
My most noteworthy quality however is that I truly care about the people I work for, work with, and train. I absolutely love the fitness industry and am proud to call myself an educated fitness professional!

What to Expect

Sessions will vary based on your goals. All sessions will begin with a brief talk and a warmup. Communication will take place throughout the session so that I can assess needs and achievements.
