Hi, my name is Kristen. I got my certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in July of 2014. I worked at a small gym for a year and really enjoy working with clients who have limitations such as knee issues or back problems. Eventually, I would like to go back to school to study physical therapy. I went to culinary school right out of high school, and still really enjoy cooking and baking. I have my own little side business selling cakes called Joyful Vagabond Bakery. Everyone tells me how ironic it is that I bake cakes and am a personal trainer, but I love what I do. I'm dedicated to finding a program that fits for you.
National Academy of Sports Medicine
For the first session, the client can expect a thorough physical assessment along with discussions around setting goals based on physical capability currently and where they would like to move towards. The following sessions will include a combination of cardio, balance, core, plyometrics, and bodyweight exercises.
A Testimonial from one of my current clients: "I have been working with Kristen Piehl since June 2015. I had a brain tumor removed 11 years ago and suffered a stroke due to complications with the surgery (I am 53 years old). I was left with some phyiscal issues that I continue to work on today. That is where Kristen comes in - she has worked with my physical limitations, encouraging me and pushing me at the same time. We have continued to work on my balance, which is a big part of my physical limitations. There are days when I think I am back in physical therapy :). I work with Kristen 3 times a week and definitely notice the improvements. I would highly recommend Kristen for any type of personal training - she is incredible and you would be lucky to have her."
