I have a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University. My two main areas of specialization is working with Diabetics and pre-Diabetics AND contest-prep work for Bodybuilding or Physique competitors. I have been a lifelong type-1 (insulin-dependent) Diabetic and as my primary care physician labels me, I am a "doctor's dream." I am passionate about living a healthy, athletic lifestyle and my own personal testimony coupled with my passion is contagious with my personal training clients. I am a national-level men's physique competitor, I have a career as corporate sales trainer (in addition to my personal training on a part-time basis). I specialize in YRG (Yoga for Regular Guys). It's an intense form of yoga that combines classic yoga moves with calisthenics training and its purpose is to generate interest for men, though plenty of females enjoy this intense form of Yoga.
AFAA
*Counseling on diet (I require them to keep a journal and bring it to ea. session for counseling and critique), *Stretching/overall warmup AND cool down from yoga *An intense (but personalized) workout using resistance and body weight calisthenics *Finally a high intensity interval (cardio) workout with my personal coaching and encouragement *Afterwards, a schedule and personal recommendation on diet and exercise to do on their own when not training with me
I've been able to take several diabetics with a horrible quality of life to being able to discard their medications altogether. Their blood panels (A1C) improved, their blood glucose stabilized and they lost weight and felt 100 percent better.
