As a fitness professional, my job is to see to it that the valuable time you devote toward your own wellness is spent in the best possible way. My job is also my passion.

In my 19-year career in fitness I have taught classes, coached small groups and athletic teams, and trained hundreds of individual clients. Over that time, I have developed a real affinity for personal training. It provides the maximal results for my clients and it provides me the opportunity to test and refine my knowledge and experience base. I have trained competitive bodybuilders, and I have trained clients with serious rehabilitation challenges. I have helped clients lose hundreds of pounds and regain their mobility, confidence and drive. Every one of those clients was an individual, and no two clients ever got the same program. It is a source of great personal pride to have watched my clients meet and exceed so many challenges.

As a parent, I understand the challenge of time, and as a trainer I understand how many sources of information are out there to confuse and intimidate you. I offer you the opportunity to spend an hour working together with me to reach and exceed your goals. We will work on an individualized program, we will have fun doing it, and we won’t waste time.

What to Expect

1. We define your personal goals.

Have you decided to get fitter because your doctor warned you about changing your lifestyle? Or are you an elite athlete that needs to get in shape for the next season? Are you somewhere in between? In the beginning, I consult with you about your goals. I listen, and I don't lecture. I take into consideration your physical restrictions, and I'll answer any and all questions about your program.

2. We work together to come up with a program.

We can meet multiple days per week or (we can meet less often), and I can provide you with workout routines and nutrition advice to help you accomplish your goals. Your program will be re-evaluated to get more challenging as you improve. You will be challenged, but you will never get bored.

3. We work to get you to the place you want to be.

How many things in your life would you say are designed specifically to cater to your personal improvement? Personal training is one of those few things. I'm here to see that you get better. I don't take phone calls or get distracted. Our sessions are entirely about you getting better.

My workout program consists of resistance training and boxing. Each workout begins with a warmup. These warmups are for general increase in activity and for the specific body parts addressed in the workout. Resistance training is broken down into a series of exercises performed in sets. The sets work interdependently to take into account the body part, stress, and recovery. For example, we do heavy squats super-sett with pull-ups to relieve stress on the spine and lower back muscles. I also do boxing training with Kenny. Boxing is a great way to improve cardiovascular fitness. Boxing is done as interval training in 2 minute rounds with specific rest periods. We work on footwork, hitting mitts, light sparing, hitting punching bags, and specific conditioning drills. It's much more diverting than working on cardio machines or running or biking. Kenny has helped me achieve my original fitness goals, but has also helped me to understand that reaching old goals really just means establishing new goals. His workouts are creative, challenging and ever-changing. I recommend Kenny enthusiastically. You will work had, have fun, and improve at every stage.

I have been training with Ken for over a year, mostly boxing training, mitt work sparring, etc. Ken is a very capable trainer and well-versed all around. He brings with him a very professional attitude and work ethic. I have watched him train people in other modalities: weight training for strength and explosive power, agility etc. He brings to the table a variety of disciplines, which can help just about anyone he trains. The bottom line is he gets results, you get results, and everyone is happy.
