About Me

Too many distractions. More often than not, that’s why we don’t reach our goals. That’s also the impetus behind Summit: to create
an environment for uninterrupted training.

At Summit, we treat climbing as a sport and climbers as athletes. This means it’s not just about following the route, but developing a mindset, learning and honing specific techniques and putting in the hard work and proper practice in preparation to perform when your number is called. That is Summit.

Coach Kubi
My name is Keith Kubiesa, I’ve been dedicated to climbing since 2012, have a personal training background and in 2012 obtained my CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) from the NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association). I have been in Madison, WI, on and off for the past six years. I spent a few of those six years living in Colorado and Oregon. I spend the majority of my time rock climbing and training for climbing. Come winter months I am the head coach of the youth snowboard team out at Tyrol Basin. \ Aside from training, I thoroughly enjoy learning everyday about food and how eating affects everything we do. If I don't know where my food is coming from I will not eat it.

I am currently the Head Coach for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Climbing team and Strength coach for team PBC racing (triathlon team). I have had clients qualify and compete at USA climbing Nationals, USA snowboarding Nationals as well as members of the high school state golf champion team.

I work with clients to clarify goals, visualize them and build a road map toward achieving them. Strength training, mental awareness, recovery methods and nutrition are some of the tools and techniques I provide to help you get there.
