Hi, my name is Katira. Currently a senior at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus majoring in Sports Science/Exercise Science, minor in strength and conditioning. It's a B.S./M.S. program, I'm very educated in my following field. I have athletic experience, which has exposed me to different styles of training. Personal training is something that I'm all but familiar in, I learn new styles of training everyday. Toning, staying in shape, building muscle, losing weight, cardio, light weight lighting, resistance, etc. are all areas that I'm strong in. My main goal is to help as many people that I can reach their fitness goals.
First we will take it easy, so I can see what level you're at. I want to know all your goals and why. And we will do nothing but work at your goals. Everyday the intensity will increase. It won't be easy and but it will get easy because you'll become comfortable and build strength, it's all about self-improvement.
While attending college I had a friend who was 320 and a bit younger than myself she was 19. Weighing 320, only 5'5 and year of 19 isn't good at all. Her health was on the line. I wanted to help her not because it made me feel better or sleep at night but simply because it would help her. I began putting her on a diet, limiting her meals throughout the day. We started working out in the gym October 12th, 2016 I checked her weight, which was 320. Started off with cardio, jogging, running, walking hills, treadmill just burning calories. She dropped down to 315 by the end the week. From cardio, to ab workouts, to resistance, back to cardio. I needed her to follow her diet and sweat. And she did, she sweat. By January 10th, 2017 she weighed 270.
