About Me

I am an ACE certified personal trainer and have experience in helping people meet their goals in a fun and creative way. My background includes being a swimmer, runner and cyclist. Professionally, it is working with a wide range of clients, from Olympic athletes to new moms, children to senior citizens, and everyone in between. I have a degree in exercise science and love being able to mesh my knowledge from course work to how it correlates to movement and fitness in real life. It has always been fun to meet new people and work with them to develop a personalized and individual workout plan to help them meet their goals. I like to help encourage people to be healthy, fit and whole.

What to Expect

Each training session is personalized to help meet a client's goals. Throughout a session there will be feedback and encouragement, as well as if something isn't working according to plan, we can be flexible in what exercise is performed. I begin with a dynamic warm-up that helps bring to focus a goal for the session. Then we move into the main portion of a workout. Depending on the client, it could be core and flexibility work, upper-body with aerobic emphasis, and so on. I end with a cool-down and added stretching and we have a moment to reflect, bring about the team aspect of getting fit so I make sure we are on the same path.

Client Success Story

Aided a client throughout her goal of dropping 50 lbs for her wedding. Having no background with sports or fitness, I was able to help teach her workouts and continual motivation. This resulted in not only her reaching her original goal of losing weight, but also be the starting point of leading a healthy lifestyle where she does various 5k runs as well as does CrossFit five times a week.
