Hi, my name is Julie. I am a certified personal trainer through ACE (American Council of Exercise), with a specialization in sports performance. I recently retired as a city police officer and I have always had a passion for fitness and sports. I am excited to be able to devout more time to helping others fall in love with fitness and working out and reaching their goals. I have played sports and been into fitness ever since I was a child. I attended college on a full scholarship for track and field and was a three sport athlete all through high school. I have been certified as a personal trainer since 2019 and have been training, both online through videos and in person at a local gym, close friends and family. Now that I am retired from the police department, I am excited to start expanding outside of my family and friends to help more people.

A typical session with me would start with a short warm up, lightly activating the muscles we will be using that day. Followed by a set workout plan designed for you after knowing what your goals are, previous fitness level is, and what type of fitness keeps you most engaged and wanting to come up. It will end with some light stretching of the muscles we just used.
When I first received my personal trainer certification, the first person I trained and helped with their fitness routine was my sister-in-law. She was an avid runner, with a couple marathons already completed. She wanted to continue running 4 days a week but wanted to add in strength training two other days to improve her overall strength and muscle tone. I developed a program for her doing upper body strength training one day, and lower body with abdominal work the second day. Within a short time, she dropped down to her college weight (something she never expected to happen), and felt stronger running and stronger physically just doing everyday activities. My twin brother, saw the results and asked me to develop something for him. These two are a perfect example of one size does not fit all. My brother was the total opposite when it came to fitness. He has never enjoyed it and always considered it a chore. It has always been difficult for him to stick to any program. What I discovered worked great for him, would have never appealed to my sister-in-law. Not only were their goals and reasons for wanting help different, but they had total opposite motivations and desires to workout. Once I discovered what motivated my brother, he was able to stick with the program and saw great results.

Was very patient with me while I was rehabbing. Awesome suggestions and encouragement. Personalized workouts were great!
Julie shaped each workout to my timetable and needs. Great explanations and super fun to work with! I'd highly recommend.
Julie is an excellent trainer! She demonstrated all the exercises and helped me so that I did them with the correct form. She made all the sessions fun and always encouraged me. She custom made my work out for me so that the exercises didn’t hurt my back. I would recommend her to anyone!
Very personable. Kept things fun. I like how Julie made a program for me that did what I wanted without making it feel like a trip to the dentist (not boring or painful). I’d recommend her to anyone that’s looking to improve in any area that doesn’t want to use all the same-old techniques. Thanks Julie!
