Welcome everyone, I am Julian Magdaleno, and training is my deepest of many passions. I began training when bored out of my mind on summer break as a New York City teacher in the summer of 2018, became a certified ISSA personal trainer in 2019, became a competitive bodybuilder in 2021, and will be competing for my IFBB pro card this year in 2023. I am sponsored by two entities, one private and one a small business. I compete in the Classic Physique category, made famous by Chris Bumstead in recent years. I trained under some world renowned coaches and bodybuilders while residing in Mexico in 2020 and 2021, as well as currently in Jacksonville, and was able to use what I learned from them to coach myself and others. My expertise is in training for body composition! I make bodies beautiful, strong, and aesthetic in our era of photographs and social media. I have experience training in crossfit, powerlifting, and bodybuilding styles and bring all to the table to forge your best body ever. I am a teacher by trade and an academic by nature (I hold two masters degrees), so I make sure every principal we use in training is well researched.

To begin with, we will have a (very short) cardio session and some light warm up of the joints. From that point forward, everything is dependent on your goals! Each client is completely unique, expect something that fits your goals, difficult but achievable for you, that will motivate you with the success you achieve early because you will have succeeded at something challenging. There is no "typical" training session because there is no "typical" client. Everything we will do is custom. 1. Body composition is best affected by using compound movements to train larger muscle groups 2. A stable surface is a stronger surface, and strength can be readily transferred to the real world 3. Full range of motion helps sustain your mobility, and keep your joints healthy 4. The style you train in should mirror your goals! The movements I use train the groups you need, and the fibers you need, for the activities you want to perform. 5. We work hard, and smart! We will not be chatting, we will be progressing toward your goals. 6. Your body has 3 types of muscle fibers: power (strength), hypertrophy (muscle size and look), and endurance. We use all of them. 7. The best nutrition plan is the plan you can follow consistently AND MOST IMPORTANTLY 8. Yes, you can.
My first transformation was myself, my second is a young woman that coaches alongside me and is in phenomenal shape. Other clients include getting an out of shape former athlete from my HS (now in his 30s) to improve his strength, shape, and general aesthetic composition which was a success. I also have helped a client that was well into obesity regain form, he now has about 15 percent bodyfat. My favorite, however, was programming a rehab and general fitness routine for a client that was suffering from an atrophied leg he was dragging as he walked. He now walks with a limp that is barely detectable...I am not a physical therapist so this was a major research project for me! I program to your strengths, your habits, your beliefs, your eating habits, and really YOUR body's best aesthetic and composition (unique and beautifully different than anyone else's!)
