About Me

My name is Joe and I have been training in the fitness industry for 12 years. I attended the National Personal Training Institute in Philadelphia for a diploma in personal training and since then have worked in various environments ranging from club gyms, private studios and in-home training. I also have a bachelors degree in biology from Arcadia University where my core concentrations were anatomy, physiology and cellular biology. My main strength as a trainer is in program design. I am very creative in developing personalized routines for my clients to ensure they are having fun while reaching and exceeding their goals.

What to Expect

A client can expect an adequate warm-up before their personalized training routine. We will also end with a cool down session. Every workout will be 60 min, which includes both the warm-up and cool down. Monthly evaluations will also be performed to measure client improvements. I will always provide nutritional guidance whenever needed and make client notes after each session.

Client Success Story

Two years ago I trained a 44 year old woman who just came off cancer treatment. When we met she was very weak from treatment, but extremely eager to work hard. Her goal was to get back in shape to run in the Philadelphia Broad Street half marathon again; a race she ran several times in her past. She hadn't run or step foot in a gym for almost a year, so the first step in our programming was to get her body re-acclimated to strength training, cardiovascular training and flexibility. In addition, her diet needed to be adjusted as well. Overall, my goal was to improve her diet and increase her lean muscle mass/ cardiovascular strength. Upon our initial consultation, I had her complete a basic evaluation consisting of balance, flexibility and body weight movements measuring her form, strength and heart rate patterns. My client was unable to complete the evaluation due to fatigue, so I noted the results I had and developed her routine. We started off meeting three times a week and within one month I saw tremendous overall improvements. My client lost 10 pounds, was able to run three miles at a consistant pace, and improved her diet. Her strength and motivation were high and every month we set new goals to reach. At the end of 12 months she was able to run 10 miles in under 90 minutes! In fact she ran in the 2015 broad street marathon in 84 minutes, which happened to be her best race time. We trained together for a year and a half before she moved out of state, but we still keep in touch. She is still training everyday and keeps me posted with her constant fitness improvements.

Joe started training me last year in July . I had never worked with a personal trainer before him so I didn't know what to expect. Joe sat down and created a detailed plan for me to accomplish my goals by my desired time frame. He also helped me tweak my eating habits to maximize my results . It was hard work at first but Joe kept me motivated with fun new workouts every day . He gave me the space I needed and pushed me when I needed him to . By November of last year I was at my goal ! I had foot surgery in December so I was out of the gym until February of this year. I just started working with Joe again to get back on track and I am confident he will get me back to my goal before summer . I would highly recommend Joe as a trainer.
