About Me

Hi, my name is John. I'm a nationally certified personal trainer and actively involved in fitness training for over 25+ years - training for competitive sports and fitness educator. I believe 'true fitness' is achieved when you establish and maintain a long-term fitness program that fits your lifestyle. However, I also know achieving this goal is not easy. There are many challenges to face and conquer regarding a fitness program, but as someone who has met and overcome those challenges for the past 25+ years, I know what is required to achieve fitness success. My initial training will focus on developing and maintaining good core strength and stability, which will serve as the foundation for your entire fitness program. As a personal trainer, my ultimate goal is to educate, inspire and motivate you to eventually become your own personal trainer - equipped with the knowledge, understanding, confidence and desire to continue a life-long fitness journey.

What to Expect

An initial meeting to learn about your fitness experience, any potential issues or limitations, specific fitness goals (long & short-term), expectations, exercise like and dislikes, current lifestyle, level of readiness, and nutritional requirements/habits, etc. This will also gives you an opportunity to interview, and learn about me to see if we are aligned and have the rapport required to move forward successfully.

A young client who came to me because she was intimidated by the thought of going to a gym to exercise has now gained tremendous confidence in her ability to achieve her fitness goals. She was overweight, and lacked confident in her ability to develop and maintain a consistent, result oriented exercise program. I'm happy to say that after 12 weeks she has made tremendous strides. She now has confident in her ability to exercise properly and even goes to a big gym to exercise on days she is not training with me. Her core strength and body control have improved greatly and she is well on her way to continuing a lifelong fitness journey. I'm so proud of what she has accomplished.

Each session was structured to help me strengthen my core and develop my arms and to just get healthier all around. I have worked with John for about 10 weeks. I do enjoy the sessions because when they’re over I feel like I’ve accomplished working toward my goal. John has helped me improve by teaching me proper nutrition such as when to eat carbs and when not to. I haven’t reached all of my goals yet. My arms are tighter but I still need more work on my core. I would definitely recommend John because he takes time to learn about you, and your limitations and pushes you to exceed your limits but will not force you if you feel you can’t exceed those limits at that time.
