Hi, my name is John. I have a deep enthusiasm for fitness in general. Before becoming a personal trainer, I was a football coach, and before that, a player. I also did a little boxing on the side during my formative years. I always appreciate the value of a good workout, and through my professional years, my enthusiasm for nutrition and supplementation have matched it. Working out with me means you can always expect a positive atmosphere and results as long as you're willing to put in the work!
Emphasis on form and technique is everything. This is not about attempts to artificially inflate maximums with kips/compensations/etc. You can expect a good quality workout without the needless pain and suffering that follows the next day. I deal with exertion, not overexertion.
My greatest pride is in injury rehabilitation. I had one client (female, mid 40's) who literally had almost no menisci left in her knees. In her initial FMS screen, she scored a 0 (meaning presence of pain in the movement) on the squat, lunge, and rotary stability pain test (posterior rocking clearing test). In 3 short months, through corrective exercise with rigorous emphasis on shifting the burden of the movement from the knees themselves to the core, she was able to perform all 3 movements with no pain at all
