👋 My names John, I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 6+ years! Over that 6 years I’ve trained in a lot of the different types of fitness fields from strength and conditioning, general population, agility and quickness, to rehabilitation. I’ve worked with college athletes and kids to army rangers, and even seniors just looking to move around a little bit. During that time one thing has remained constant for me, which is to Impact Lives. So why double impact? Double impact is about more than just improving on your fitness or your strength it’s about improving you life through movement. Whether that’s through a grueling workout, understanding nutrition, learning about mobility and stability, or you just want to feel better about the person you see in the mirror. Double impact is here to impact your life going forward. But first we must understand that as humans we’re meant to be mobile and when we can’t or we sit at a computer all day, well we start hurting. I’m talking about chronic back pain, nagging neck aches, injuries from over use, clumsiness or not understanding your body and how it moves in space. How your breathing patterns are affecting your anxiety levels or recovery time. Whatever your reason for wanting to Impact YOUR life I am here to help you with that.

A typical training session would start with some mobility work, whether that’s soft issue mobilization, stretching and rolling, or breathe work all depends on you and what you need. After that you go into Priming or (warm up) which includes activating some of the muscles we’ll be using during the session. From there we go into our workout and this will depend heavily on your individual goals, are you looking to torch fat, build lean body tissue, or just learning how your body moves in space so you’re not so clumsy. After your workout you’ll go into a ramp down or (cool down) where we stretch some of the muscles we used during the session.
Client success and what it means to me, when I first started training in the industry I had a client named James. James was a doctor and was active by all accounts. James went to the gym regularly, ate pretty healthy, but generally still had nagging pains all over his body. After going for years trying to figure out why this was happening he finally asked for help. What we learned together fuels my drive to help others still to this day. If you move often before moving well, you’ll be where James was before I met him. We taught him to move well first and it changed his life. And when he told me I Impacted his life with what I taught him I was forever changed.
