Hi, my name is Joey and I'm a personal trainer who's currently going to San Francisco State University for my bachelors. I have huge passion for mixed martial arts with experience in boxing, muay thai and brazillian jiu jitsu. I have been training for over half a year now while being certified under National Academy of Sports Medicine. I specialize in weight-loss, endurance training, muscle building, postural corrections and mitt work ranging from young adults to seniors. I used to be overweight in high-school until I joined the wrestling team. From there I decided to weight-lift 4 times a week but wasn't seeing results until I proceeded to understand nutrition and fire the correct muscles during the exercises. With the knowledge I acquired in nutrition, I understood how the body works to keep the weight off or the proper diet to build muscle and tone. I use a safe and effective form of exercises depending on your goals.

A typical training session can include anything from the use of medicine balls, blocks, bosu balls, band work and just about any accessory to help assist us in reaching your goal.
A client of mine suffering from knee pain due to being severely overweight has lost a significant amount of weight. With my nutrition and exercise guidance she was able to shed the weight and execute movements she wasn't able to before all while being comfortable in her own body.

After failing to exercise regularly, I decided to go with a trainer. I've been training with Joey for almost 2 months and it's going great. He's energetic and friendly, and changes up the routines to keep it interesting and has also incorporated some boxing at my request.
