We start every workout program with an in depth fitness assessment. In the fitness assessment we use the Functional Movement Systems (FMS) kit to conduct a movement analysis and we take down some baseline stats including height, age, weight, and measurements. We'll also discuss your goals and past exercise and medical history in the fitness assessment. This not only lets us know where we are starting out from, but it also gives me the ability to design a workout program completely individualized to your needs.
I tell every client before starting a new fitness program to make sure you're building your foundation first. This includes optimizing your core strength, eliminating imbalances in your strength and movements, improving mobility, increasing flexibility and more. No matter what your long term health and fitness goals are, whether it's to lose a lot of weight, become an Olympic athlete, get completely free from pain, and/or anything, you're always going to get 10X better results by focusing your efforts on building a strong foundation.
