About Me

Joe is a certified strength and conditioning specialist as well as a certified Red Cross instructor who currently trains out of The Grind Sports Performance. Joe is a graduate from Union High School in Union, Missouri. Joe attended Mckendree Univeristy on a football scholarship and played all four years on the offensive line. He then completed his undergraduate studies at Mck earning a bachelors degree of science in exercise science and sports performance. While attending Mckendree University, Joe was also a scholar athlete and was recognized on both the Deans list and the Presidents list.

During the winter of 2017 and going through the spring of 2018 Joe interned with The Grind Fitness and Sport Performance. The summer of 2018 he interned at The University of Texas at El Paso, with the strength and conditioning staff, mostly working with their football, softball, and soccer teams.

What to Expect

A typical 1on1 training session with me is very individualized. Each session starts with a proper warmup followed by hand selected exercises chosen to specifically help you reach your individual goals and to prevent any injury. The main exercises will vary depending on where you are on your fitness journey and can range from barbell compound movements to light plyometric, mobility work and everything in between! Each session then is ended with a proper cool down and stretch type of movement.

Client Success Story

Recently I trained a Division 3 football player who was a little overweight for his position and was looking to lose weight while still staying as strong and as fast as possible. I then wrote a 3 month program for this athlete and trained him through it. He ended up losing just over 19 pounds while actually increasing his overall strength and dropping his body fat drastically! I have pictures and tests to show his transformation.
