I have over 12 years of experience in Martial Arts and I am a huge advocate on how important self-defense is for everyone to learn. I love to build up people's confidence and self-esteem while helping them achieve their goals. I had a friend whose child who has such low confidence and teased in her high school. At the time I was assistant teaching Karate classes and my friend brought her daughter to work with me for a couple of weeks before she went off to college. At first I had her near me at all times throughout the classes because she was extremely timid. I always worked with her on the workouts and just kept talking and encouraging her.
