Hi, my name is Jake. I have been training since I was in middle school and grew up as a multi-sport athlete. I believe that general physical preparedness and athleticism translates into a healthier and fuller life than specializing. That is why my health and fitness interests have ranged from strength and conditioning, to body building, to Crossfit and even endurance events such as obstacle races and the Ironman triathlons. I truly enjoy anything that is a challenge, because I know it's the challenges that forge me into the man I wish to become. My certifications include a BSc. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University, as well as my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA. I own and operate a sports nutrition company, Too Fit USA, where we take an all-natural approach to performance nutrition, by formulating the highest quality products to prepare and replenish activity, all while being completely transparent with you, the consumer. We want you to know what you're placing in your body and how these supplements can aid you in achieving your goals. You can expect to be pushed, yet motivated to become the best you possible. My training ranges from track sessions, to the trail, pool, weight room, body weight movements, circuit training, and endurance if needed. My goal is for you to increase your confidence in yourself and in your movements. We will accomplish this by performing things that you may be uncomfortable with to start, but will come to dominate these moves and see results.
I have a client that is a 57 year old woman, was overweight, and struggled with depression, and on top of that knee pain. In just 6 weeks of working with her, she has lost 9 pounds, the knee pain is dissipating, and the depression is all but gone. We still have a long way to go, but with simply changing her diet, adding in exercises that she could perform pain free, and increase her strength, she is well on her way to living a life full of health and longevity.
