I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and have dedicated my life to health and wellness. With 12 years of ballet training and 8 years of training in the gym, altogether I offer 20 years of experience in fitness. I care deeply about the health and well-being of others and enjoy taking the time to get to know my clients to find out the best way to help them reach and maintain their goals. While I am open to training anyone that inquires, my specialty and passion, is building a sustainable fitness routine for individuals with polycystic ovary syndrome. I have struggled with it myself and have learned that the best approach is not through rigorous programming, cutting calories, or fad dieting, but through stress management, body-love, balanced eating, and moderate exercise. If you want to lose weight quickly, my PCOS programming is not for you, but I am perfectly willing and able to create such a program if you've got an event coming up and need to lose weight for it! I do not recommend this option for those who have PCOS as you may not see the same results if any.
National Academy of Sports Medicine
A typical training session includes a mindset check-in, where we leave aesthetic goals at the door and focus on the true reason we practice fitness every week: to feel connected to our bodies, fight depression, and any other non-aesthetic goals you can think of! I then take you through your session starting with a full body warm up of dynamic stretching and light movement to get the blood flowing. No matter what your goals are, I always work on strengthening the core. Depending on your goals we may do plyometric work, but there will always be a resistance training portion. We may finish with a cardio session if that's what I feel your mind and body can handle, then finish with a quick cool down.
