My name is Elexis and I operate Adapted Fitness, a health and fitness company working to revolutionize the industry by promoting and offering a customized and multi-faceted approach to achieving your physical goals. This includes: -Physical training such as strength, flexibility, and balance. -Mental training such as breathing exercise, destressing techniques, and self love exercise. -Nutritional training such as meal planning, gut health regulation or help identifying food sensitivities. We also partner with mental, financial and career health professionals, so as to have trusted associates to refer our clients to for help with other facets of their health. My goal is to create a respectful space in the fitness industry that is honest, reliable, well-rounded and understanding of the fact that there is so much more to meeting your physical goals than "running off calories".

Sessions start with a check-in of the mind and body. From there we either proceed with the program set up in the beginning of our program, or we address whatever the client needs that day (some clients have strenuous days that require us to change a strength training session into a yoga flow). During the session we talk about lifestyle habits that will assist in the achievement of their goals such as dietary changes, stretching, daily activities, or even ways to integrate healthier habits for the family.
*Client came to me after spending years with a trainer that was not leading her to progress in her sport (Western Horseback Riding). After training with me twice a week for two months she participated in a 6 day competition in which she won 5 awards and qualifying spot for national competition. *Client 2 hired me after being stuck in plateau for a year. After 5 weeks of training his plateau ceased and he continued to shed body fat, getting down to 9%. Currently he is in the middle of a successful bulk in which only 1.2% body fat has been gained and about 4lbs of muscle mass. *Client 3 approached me looking for a body positive, "gentle" trainer after her pregnancy and issues with nutrition. I set her up with several resources for nutritional information and eating disorder support, then started her on an in-gym exercise regimen that would help her feel powerful and proud of her body. I also gave her at-home exercises to do with her baby so as to help bring the idea of self care home. She is managing her dietary issues consistently and has lost nearly all of her baby weight.

What's so cool about Adapted Fitness? Pfft, what ISN'T cool about them? You have two badass girls helping you to attain physical, mental, and even emotional gains! I was fortunate enough to work with Elexis for 6 months. 2 jobs, grad school for 4/6 months of our time together, PCOS, and ADHD tendencies. I don't know about you, but that's a lot for one human to go through. I couldn't have handled those last few months of school as well as I did without her help. I can appreciate myself a lot more now through the progress we made, too. I've still got a long way to go, but I'm a keep going. #ElexisSamVibe
I've been working with Elexis for 3 months so far. The flexibility of my sessions with Elexis has been so helpful to my goals. She understands when I need to reschedule, she even takes a minute to let me vent because I work 2 jobs and go to grad school. I've become stronger, have improved my balance, and even lost about 10 to 15 lbs so far. Can't express how grateful I am for all the resources, education, and tips she's given me on my journey. Not to mention, I'm slowly developing a better relationship with food because of her!
