I am both a personal trainer and registered dietitian. I believe everyone can have a healthy, fit body at any age, size or circumstance. To me, fitness and health means being able to do whatever makes you happy, from playing with your kids or grandkids to accomplishing great feats in strength or endurance. I especially enjoy working with women 35 or older who struggle with living a healthy lifestyle. I understand, from my own experience, the challenges of good nutrition and exercise. I was not an athlete when I was young and only started taking an interest in fitness and health when I started gaining weight in my 30s. I still can't say in all honestly that I love to exercise and eat healthy, but I do like what exercise and good nutrition do for me. I excel at creating workouts that can be done at home without a lot of special equipment or a trip to the gym. Training sessions are designed specifically to meet the clients needs and goals. A session may include exercises for strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, balance, or any combination of these. I create programs that are unique and individualized to the client.
I recently worked with a 68-year-old woman to help her prepare for a trip to Greece. She increased both her strength and stamina during our training sessions which allowed her to keep her energy high and participate in all the activities she wanted to enjoy on her trip.
