Do you have a passion for life? Are you happy? Do you live with joy? I can answer “yes” to all in large part because of my journey with Fit4Life. More importantly, many people in our community can now answer these questions with a “yes” because of the role Fit4Life has played in their lives. Fitness inspires passion, happiness and joy. When we feel better about ourselves, we treat others better. When we have more self-confidence, we give more. When we learn to love our bodies, we have less fear. When we feel stronger physically, we are tougher mentally. When we live with less pain, we live with more joy. I’ve spent my entire career in fitness helping people achieve more in life. I embraced the idea that fitness and wellness are foundations of happiness. I embarked on a mission to spread happiness throughout our community in Washington, D.C. and beyond. As a child growing up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I participated in several sports including basketball, soccer and tennis, but basketball was my passion. I started to play when I was 9 years old until reached the professional level in Argentina. Every day my strength and conditioning coach helped me discover another passion: fitness. For 18 years as fitness specialist I trained people ranging from 10-80 years old with different goals. I graduated with a B.S. in kinesiology then got my degree as a business attorney. I am now a certified personal trainer and basketball and sports conditioning consultant. I am certified personal trainer for American Council on Exercise, a clinical exercise specialist, and a lifestyle and weight management consultant. I have a CPR and AED in the Red Cross as well as a certification with Ignite Performance 360 in sport conditioning through the world class institution IMG Academies. Also I am bilingual in English and Spanish. Fit4Life was founded and exists to motivate, educate and inspire each client to reach optimal levels of performance and balance in life and ultimately be the best he or she can be.We teach that wellness isn’t a flyer in the break room, it’s a way of life. Ultimately, we are a personal training business with a big heart, thriving against the odds. Fast food, smoking, illness, sedentary living and obesity have been a way of life in our town, but we are carving a new path. We have lifted the spirits and brightened the future of many. When I started Fit4Life I had a toddler. I believed that my children would want to be raised by parents who love what they do and were contributing members of society. I want to raise curious, happy and confident kids. They best way to do it was for us to lead by example. I am a husband and a dad first and foremost. I am a community leader and fitness entrepreneur next and I embrace all of these roles with passion. We have ignited a crusade — a crusade to end the trend of obesity and to unleash the power within people. I believe “fitness is a party and you have to invite people to it.” I’ve followed it to the best of my ability. Fitness is for everyone and most people just need to be invited and supported. That’s what we do here! I am proud to say that my story has become our story. There is much more still to be written. Join me in continuing the crusade.
