Hi, my name is Dana. I am a certified personal trainer with 10 years of professional and over 20 years of personal experience. I ran cross country for the U of W, power-lifted on a national level, raced in long distance runs, and have volunteered in training with youth at risk. I have two boys (12 & 14) who are dedicated athletes. This keeps me in touch and actively learning about what is taking place in youth sports and sports nutrition. My clients are a diverse bunch ranging in age from 13-78. They represent all abilities from obese and newly active, to athletes participating in Euro-pro basketball.

Training sessions vary according to client's abilities and experience, but overall, I believe strength, high intensity interval training and functional training combined are most effective. I use the BOSU, TRX, resistance bands, free weights, body weight, stairs, benches, etc. Typically each session combines strength and cardio to maximize overall fitness level.
All of my clients have committed to exercise on a regular basis and are leading healthier lives as a result. To me, making that change and making it a long term thing is success. In terms of fitness, 60% of my clients have lost weight, 100% have gotten stronger with more lean mass and muscle tone, and 100% have more confidence in themselves.
